School Administrator of the Year View Winners
The Alliance is an outreach organization designed to disseminate accurate information regarding Florida's education reforms and to encourage the active involvement and partnership of African American students, parents, and communities toward the continued improvement of education in our state.
The Alliance seeks to uplift the African American communities by acknowledging African American students and applauding their academic improvements, while celebrating the accomplishments of African American leaders and community organizations. The African American Education Alliance also recognizes the need to support the efforts of all students, teachers, principals, and communities in Florida. Consequently, the African American Education Alliance works to develop strong, informed communities that will provide the backbone and support structure for education reform in Florida.

School Administrator of the Year Nominating Procedures
Nominations are solicited each year from the 67 school districts. A 1-page on-line nomination process has been implemented to ensure ease with completion and submission of nominations. An Alliance Advisory Board, which consists of 5-7 members, will select yearly winners who will then be featured on our website and sent an Achievement Award/Certificate. We may also elect to have announcements made in the local newspaper. The winners will be announced at our annual Recognition Event on January 20-21, 2008 in Orlando, Florida.

- School is a model for achieving academic excellence
- Exemplary level of professional commitment
- Most Improved School - Criteria based on FCAT performance and school grading system outlined in the Accountability Plus Plan (A+ Plan).
- Contributions of school to community
